We came here for brunch on a Saturday, it was very busy! We waited for around 20 minutes to be seated, which isn’t terrible considering how packed it was. We sat out in the heated & covered patio, which was very pleasant since it was such a sunny day. After receiving our menus, my partner went to order our food and drinks at the front, and the servers brought everything out. They were kind and checked on us regularly throughout the meal. My partner got the African Bowl with an add on of pork belly, and he really enjoyed it. I took a few bites and liked it too, but I thought the jollof rice was a little underwhelming. Definitely made to cater to a wider palate though, so I understand. However, I really enjoyed my crab benny, even more that it came on a roasted sweet yam instead of an English muffin! The habanero hollandaise added some extra flavour as well. It offered a bright and interesting take on a classic brunch dish. Overall, we had a fantastic brunch here, and I will definitely come again for the crab benny!

Beautiful ambiance and seating! Excellent choices on the menu. Had the turmeric latte and it was the bomb dot com! I also ordered the yam benny which was amazing! Amazing sauces, thanks for serving a plate full of amazing flavours and keep it up! Our clean empty plates should be a good enough review

These hippies can cook! Probably some of the best brunch I've ever had. Everything is fresh and bursting with flavor. I did not leave disappointed or dissatisfied. They make their own hot sauce in house which is sweet and fruity. Definitely a winner and will be coming back next time I visit the island.

My family and I came here for a Saturday brunch and everyone loved their food. It is seasoned well and came out perfectly hot. We even tried the plantains and it was such a difference experience for us a who commonly prepare plantains at home. We are definitely coming back and bringing friends for more occasions!

The Crab Benny offers a unique twist by replacing the usual bagel or bread with yam, which adds a healthy and slightly sweet flavor that pairs well with the rich crab. Although there may be a wait to be seated during peak brunch hours, the server handles the long lineup efficiently, and once you're seated, the food arrives quickly, usually within 10-15 minutes. The portion sizes of vegetables and potatoes are generous, making for a satisfying and well-balanced meal. Overall, it's a great choice for those looking to enjoy a delicious, healthier version of a classic brunch dish.

The food was spectacular. I ordered the pork belly sandwich, and tried my friend’s meals as well and everything was flavorful, spiced, and fresh. We came for weekend brunch but will be back to try the dinner as well. We also had hot chocolate and chai lattes.

Drove down from Nanaimo to visit after seeing the owner on “Cooking on the Coast”. This is one of the best brunches I have ever eaten! The kids loved the crepes, the millionaire shortbread (which tastes like a twix!) and the pineapple slice. Unreal! The shakshuka and the African bowl are absolutely 2 of the best dishes on the island and made that whole drive so worth it!! 5 stars and beyond for sure! Will make this drive again and again!
